Terms of use
Last updated: October 4, 2026 · Applies to the hindsight website and the hindsight browser extension.
The short version: hindsight is a small tool that shows you how you looked a few seconds ago. Use it freely, and be reasonable.
What hindsight is
hindsight shows your own camera feed back to you, delayed by a few seconds, so you can see how you came across. It runs entirely on your device. See the privacy policy for exactly what that means.
Your camera and other people
- You decide when to turn the mirror on and off. It only uses your camera while you have it running.
- hindsight does not record. If you separately record or share a call, you are responsible for getting the consent the law and your situation require.
As it is
hindsight is provided as it is. It may stop working when a browser, a camera or a call app changes. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it, or from it not working. Nothing here limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.
Using the website
Please do not misuse the site: no scraping at a scale that affects it and no attempts to break or probe it.
